Melissa Sue Anderson comes across as genuine, sweet, in-depth, and a little shy as she recounts her years as Mary Ingalls on "Little House on the Prairie". It's that responsible oldest child thing. Alison's book is very funny with a little too much profanity for my taste, but still a lot of funwhile this had a different flavor.

I had gotten the picture that Melissa Anderson wasn't close with the other girls her age on the set. While she admits to not having much in common with Melissa Gilbert Laura and not being exceptionally close, she doesn't speak ill of anyone in this book.
