He is the co-founder of Messenger Internationala non-profit that translates and distributes Christian teaching into over languages. John was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He spent part of his childhood living overseas in Londonderry, Northern Irelandbefore his family settled down in Whitehall, Michigan. He attended Purdue University on a tennis scholarship, where he played doubles [2].

He graduated from Purdue with a B. While attending college, he met his wife Lisa Bevere Toscano in June of They were married on October 2, After graduating, John took an engineering job with Rockwell International. In June ofJohn left his job at Rockwell International to pursue a career in ministry. His second book, The Bait of Satan [6]went on to become an international best-seller, with over one million copies sold [7].

John currently lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife enjoys playing golf with his sons in his spare time.
