We talk about anything and everything and nothing is taboo. Plus, we have a great time interacting with our callers. Wendy Snyder has been on the air in Chicago for twenty years. I know you were suprised--but I thought you handled it in a very classy way. Why do you think it ended the way it did?

Wendy snyder biography: A regular fixture on Chicago's radio

I was quite surprised to wendy snyder biography out that I had lost my job, but what could I do? Oh well, life goes on, right? Rick: Before you worked with Steve, you worked with some other big stars on the Chicago radio dial. Give us your impressions of the following people, and what you think their greatest strengths are as radio performers.

Let's start with your former midday co-host, Buzz Kilman. Wendy: Buzz is the coolest guy I know. Rick: What about your long-time co-host Bill Leff? After scouring every edition of the trade publication "Radio and Records" she found an on-air position available in Peoria, Illinois. Despite driving through a blizzard and rocking through a recorded audition right there on the spot, Snyder did not get the job.

At the young age of 23, Snyder started hosting weekend overnights, which turned into weekday overnights, which turned into evenings. When the legendary Chicago radio team of Steve Dahl and Garry Meier broke up inshe won Garry in the divorce and continued doing news and co-hosting with him for about a year. Inshe went on to host her own show with National artist, Tony Fitzpatrick.

They were much like brother and sister and fought like cats and dogs on the air for about six months, until Tony decided he would rather just draw then be stuck in a studio with Wendy. Snyder was then passed around like a Wendy really clicked with one of those funny guys, and the radio team of Wendy Snyder and Bill Leff was born. I love it when they get involved in the show and play along.

In the old days of radio, you really felt like you knew the person on the air. We seem to have gotten away from that. No one seems to be true to themselves anymore. What you see is what you get with me. I can hang with the boys and swear like a sailor, but when the situation presents itself, I can really act like a lady, and a professional one at that.
